This week we are supposed to be talking about social networking. I am one of the facebook addicts. Yes, I know crazy. I just love being able to catch up with people you haven't seen in awhile or even see your older friends from when you were a kid. I do go on facebook everyday. Sadly, I have facebook on my laptop, cell phone and Ipod. Right when I log onto my laptop, the first thing I do is go on facebook. Sometimes I don't even notice I am doing it automatically.
Social networking is so big right now. That is how everyone communicates. Talking to you parents face to face, who does that these days....no one! If my parents need me they call me, text me or facebook me. I know it is sad. Even when dinner is ready upstairs they will call my cell or text me. First, I thought we were the only family who does that but there are a lot of family's that do that. I don't know what I would do without my facebook or cell phone. That is like my life right in my hand.

Ellen Degeneres
This week we were told to write about whatever we would like. Everyday I sit in my room in my bed or on the couch and watch the Ellen Degeneres Show. It is one of my favorite shows. I laugh so hard during every episodes. She is so funny. My favorite episode is when she was scaring some famous people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDVH58k3f3g&feature=related
Everytime I watch it, I laugh so hard I cry. One thing I want to do before I die is go to one of her shows in LA. She is so funny!!
Well I guess I should get back to doing some homework. yuck!

Grandparents
I never really knew my Grandpa's. I was very little when both of them passed away. I have a bunch of pictures of me with them so that is comforting. I wish I got to know them though.
This is my moms parents. I was about 7 in this picture. I loved my grandma. She was amazing. She died about 3 years of cancer. The things I remember most about her is.....
1. Her red lipstick she always wore
2. Her chocloate chip cookies were the best
3. I remember the cookie car being way ontop of the fridge
4. My family and I always went over to there house for holiday dinners
5. She had to best toys in the basement
These are my dads parents. They lived in Dyersberg Tennessee. I dont know how old I was in this picture but it doesnt look like I was happy. The things I remember about my grandma are...
1. Her chicken & dumplings were always my favorite
2. I loved the way she spoke... her southern accent
3. She took me to Elvis's house
4. When she came to visit us in MN, she always brought a suitcase just for food and gifts.
5. She always took care of everyone else before herself.

The quote that is inspiration to me is....
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us." by Helen Keller.
Every time something goes wrong with school or anything in life, I get upset for awhile and don't get over it. I always think negative and also never get my hopes up for anything. I don't try to but it is just a habit. This quote has really opened my eyes to realizing there are also more doors that are going to open in life and close. I need to let the past be the past and focus on the current day and future. Life is to short to be upset.
